Executive Coaching – NHS Trust

We worked with the new CEO of a challenged NHS Foundation Trust to help him transition from a senior policy role in an NHS regulator into his first CEO role. The coaching programme started before the change in roles and continued for 15 months helping the CEO prepare for, navigate and reflect on a variety of successes and set- backs.

A comprehensive 360 degree feedback report at the start of the programme provided valuable data for an exploration of the key points of development for the new CEO; it also enabled him to paint a clear picture of the leader he wanted to become and the legacy he wanted to create for his organisation. Subsequent work focused on developing key relationships across the local NHS system to support the Trust’s continuous improvement and refine the CEO’s strategic leadership impact.

A year into the role the CEO was delighted that following a CQC reinspection his Trust moved out of Special Measures and scored ‘Good’ on several key areas.
